HOW DO YOU INSTALL CORKOLEUM FLOORING?

Before installation, leave the Corkoleum rolls standing upright in their packaging for at least 72 hours in a well-ventilated room. This step ensures the material properly acclimates to the temperature and humidity of the space.

To install Corkoleum, you’ll need: a short-pile velour roller, a utility knife, a pencil, a tape measure, a ruler, a tray, and a bucket.

Ensure the subfloor is level and free of dust or debris.

Unroll the Corkoleum and allow it to lay flat for a few minutes. Check for any visible damage.

Apply adhesive to the subfloor. Use Wakol D3540 for both porous and non-porous surfaces or Mapei Adesilex G19 if installing over rubber or PVC flooring. If overlapping sections, leave a 5cm gap free of adhesive along the edges.

Remove any waste materials generated during the process.

After 24 hours, apply a finishing coat following the manufacturer’s instructions.
