WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH 5-10MM SELF-ADHESIVE CORK ROLLS?

These cork rolls are perfect for making large pinboards, where you can easily pin photos and notes. The thicker option, 10mm, provides the best sound and thermal insulation among cork rolls.

WILL THE 5MM SELF-ADHESIVE CORK ROLL STICK TO VERTICAL SURFACES?

Yes, the adhesive is strong enough to securely hold onto vertical surfaces.

Important: Ensure the surface is dry, clean, and dust-free before applying. Otherwise, the adhesive may not work as expected. The self-adhesive layer is ideal for smooth, flat, and clean surfaces (such as plasterboards or furniture panels).

CAN SELF-ADHESIVE CORK ROLLS BE APPLIED TO CURVED OR ROUGH SURFACES?

No, they cannot. Self-adhesive cork rolls work best on flat, smooth, clean, and dust-free surfaces (like plasterboards or furniture panels). Curved or rough surfaces are not suitable, as the adhesive won't hold properly, and the cork roll may peel off.

WHICH CORK THICKNESS IS IDEAL FOR A PINBOARD?

Cork rolls with a thickness of 5–10mm are a great choice for pinboards. They are thick enough to securely hold pins in place. Thinner options might not provide the same stability for pins, which could easily fall out.

WHAT BACKING MATERIAL SHOULD YOU USE FOR A CORK PINBOARD?

A fibreboard backing is an excellent option – it’s lightweight, durable, and allows you to insert pins easily across the entire board. It holds the cork firmly and resists warping over time. Alternatively, you could use a cork sheet as backing material.

SHOULD YOU CHOOSE SELF-ADHESIVE CORK ROLLS OR SHEETS FOR PINBOARDS?

For larger pinboards, self-adhesive cork rolls are the better option due to their seamless surface. For smaller boards, cork sheets work best.

DOES THE SELF-ADHESIVE CORK ROLL 6MM REQUIRE ACCLIMATISATION?

Yes, absolutely. Allow the roll to acclimate for 72 hours to the room's temperature and humidity. Skipping this step could result in warping, peeling, or even complete detachment.

HOW DO YOU APPLY A SELF-ADHESIVE CORK ROLL TO A WALL?

First, make sure the surface is smooth, clean, and dry. Uneven areas, dirt, or dust can prevent proper adhesion.

Once the surface is prepared, peel off the protective backing to expose the adhesive layer. Start applying the cork roll from the centre and work your way outwards.

Finally, press down on the edges firmly, and if necessary, reapply pressure to loose sections. Allow the adhesive to set for 24 hours to ensure the cork roll is securely attached.

HOW CAN YOU FLATTEN CORK ROLLS?

Unroll the cork roll and lay it flat on a clean, dry surface, such as a table or floor. Then, place heavy and flat objects, like books or boards, on top of it.

Distribute the weight evenly to avoid dents or uneven spots. To protect the cork, you can place a soft cloth underneath it. Leave it for several hours, or ideally, 24 hours, until it becomes completely flat.

CAN THE SELF-ADHESIVE CORK ROLL 6MM BE USED OUTDOORS?

Self-adhesive cork rolls are designed for indoor use only. While they perform exceptionally well indoors, exposure to rain, sun, and varying weather conditions will damage them quickly.

If you need cork for outdoor applications, consider using expanded cork facade panels. These are much more durable and can withstand outdoor conditions.

Notes constantly falling, plastic pinboards wearing out too fast, or wallpaper installation that feels like a chore? Natural cork solves all these problems instantly. Simple, natural, and mess-free – install it once and enjoy peace of mind for years.

#1 YOUR NOTES, ALWAYS IN PLACE – NEAT AND TIDY

Say goodbye to the frustration of falling or misplaced notes. Every day, whether it’s a photo, an important reminder, or a note, pin it easily to your board and be confident it stays exactly where you need it.

Less stress because you won’t have to keep readjusting notes or hunting for lost ones (they always disappear when you need them the most, don’t they?). Save time by pinning your notes securely, knowing everything is in its place.

#2 CLEAN AND QUICK

Installing a self-adhesive cork roll? It’s fast and simple. Just peel off the backing and stick the cork roll to the surface – no mess, no sticky hands. No glue spills on your table or struggles to clean up adhesive residue afterward.

Peel, stick, and enjoy your pinboard in no time. It’s a massive TIME and ENERGY saver.

#3 PLENTY OF BENEFITS, ZERO PLASTIC

Instead of a cold material, you get natural cork, which is not only aesthetically pleasing but also warm to the touch, making daily organisation effortless. Plastic pinboards crack easily, scratch quickly, and within months, you’re back at the store for a replacement.

Moreover, natural cork is planet-friendly. It decomposes naturally and leaves no trace. Plastic? We all know it doesn’t. Its production consumes enormous energy and resources, and it lingers in landfills for decades (or longer). Why contribute to waste when you can choose natural cork?

#4 NATURAL CORK FOR YEARS

Self-adhesive wallpaper is a quick option for a fresh look, but let’s be honest – it’s purely decorative. It wears out fast, peels away, and offers little beyond its appearance. Natural cork, on the other hand, is not only attractive but also practical. Its strong adhesive ensures it stays in place, so you won’t need frequent replacements, and it doesn’t attract dust, making it easy to clean.

Natural cork is far more durable than thin wallpaper, which provides neither sound nor thermal insulation, while cork does both naturally. Wallpaper might look nice for a short time, but cork stays intact for years.
