Got a few cork tape questions? We've got you sorted!

WHAT DOES CORK TAPE ROLL LOOK LIKE?

It’s a long, flexible strip roll made from genuine cork. The colour’s a soft, natural brown. It comes in different sizes, so you can pick what works best for your needs.

HOW DO PEOPLE USE CORK TAPE ROLL?

It’s super practical – great for DIY and more pro-level stuff too:

  • Gap sealing – its flexibility makes it perfect for filling awkward spaces and sealing them up nicely.
  • Thermal and sound insulation – cork has millions of air pockets inside, which helps block out sound and keep warmth in.
  • Mini cork boards – no room for a big one? Cork tape lets you make one to fit tight spots – just cut it to size and stick it where needed.
  • Arts and crafts – it’s ideal for creative projects. You can shape it, glue it down, and use it with other materials.
  • Extra padding – use it as a buffer when storing or shipping fragile things. It helps protect without adding bulk.

HOW DO I STICK CORK THE RIGHT WAY?

All you need is good glue and a clean, flat surface to start with.

  1. Pick the proper adhesive – it’s worth using glue that’s made for natural cork, like Wakol D-3540 or Dragon. Other glues might not hold well or could ruin the cork's texture.
  2. Get the surface ready – clean off any grease or dust, and make sure it’s smooth. A dirty surface won’t let the glue do its job properly.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO CUT IT CLEANLY?

The best choice is a proper knife for cork – and make sure it’s sharp! A blunt one will tear the edges instead of slicing cleanly.

You’ll get the best result cutting it on a flat, hard surface. Avoid soft mats – they make it harder to get nice, straight lines.

DOES IT COME IN A STICKY VERSION TOO?

Yes, it does – you’ll find both the classic version and ones with self-adhesive backing ready to go.

It doesn’t take much to make your space cosier. Rather than relying on bulky curtains or cranking the thermostat, you can tackle draughts directly. Cork tape’s flexible enough to wrap around edges where rigid stuff just won’t work. It also does the job well in professional settings – whether it’s soundproofing, insulation, or sealing in industrial setups.

Need somewhere to stick reminders but short on space? With cork tape, you can build a custom note strip wherever it suits you. Pop a strip above your workspace, inside a cupboard door, or on your fridge – and keep things visible and organised.

More and more materials claim to be “green,” but few truly are. Cork tape is different – it’s a natural, plastic-free material. Good for the planet, and good for you. It’s safe, gentle on skin, and doesn’t release anything nasty into your space.
